It helps a lot when trying to convince people to stick around.įor developing sympathy, it always helps if the target is Kind, Just, Trusting, Patient or Charitable. No matter what nothing will work against religious heads.īe gregarious. If you still don't know, start looking at traits - Brave, Gregarious, Erudite, Ambitious and Just are the ones that matter. You can also go for community if they have kids, friends or lovers. If you want to induct someone into the faith, choose based on their education or lifestyle, unless both are intrigue. The personal argument works well against friend, lovers, relatives, and people who otherwise like you. The family argument works well against almost anyone with children. High diplomacy makes them better at recruiting, and being courtiers makes them easier to recruit. When you're just starting, focus on high-diplomacy courtiers. Unlanded characters are much easier to recruit - try to convince the spouses of rulers, so they can convince the ruler's heir to join. It doesn't matter which religion we're dealing with AFAIK. So far I've only done secret Germanic, Zoroastrianism and Zunist characters in case the religion itself has an effect on the events. Especially for the 'second round' where you win them over to the secret religion because it seems like the options are supposed to relate to stats but do I pay attention to the stats or traits? Also this is anecdotal but personally I've never seen the "philosophy" one ever work even when a character is incredibly into scholarly activity (and yes I made sure to not target people with the zealous trait).

I tried searching but couldnt find anything about this but does anyone know what you should keep in mind when youre trying to win over people to your secret cult (as well as getting them to sympathize with your secret religion in the first place)? I'm fairly sure its not random because for the trait to get someone to be sympathetic I've noticed a fairly reliable success rate for winning over characters with the 'kind' trait with the option that talks about the plight of the believers, for characters with wealth-related traits being sympathetic towards the option about business and for characters that really like for for the opinion-based option but beyond that I'm not sure.
